About Dyed on Demand

Just that, a dyed to order colorway service. You chose the colorway and the yarn and your order is treated with tender loving care with you in mind. This is the best way to order more than one skein for a larger project to ensure you will receive yarn in the same dyelot.

Since this is a semi-custom process, please allow two to four weeks for your order to be completed. Many times orders are expedited within two weeks but be aware that during a busy season or festival season it make take up to four weeks. Once it is ready to ship you will receive an email with a tracking number letting you know its way. Shipping times vary based on which rate you chose but domestic USPS First Class takes anywhere from 2-7 days to arrive at it's destination. More info about shipping here.

I do my best to accurately depict the colorway in the photo, choosing the base the colorway is dyed on for the photo will get the most accurate representation of the colorway. Each yarn is hand dyed and due to the hand dyeing process each yarn may be slightly different. Additionally, the fiber type and blend may take up color differently than the yarn or fiber photo'ed. Please take some time to learn about the different bases offered and when in doubt please ask! The NGY Ravelry forum is also a helpful place to get help when trying to pair a base with a project!

Some of the NGY colorways were designed specifically for certain bases and the effect won't be the same on a different base. Likewise, some bases take up color differently making it a completely different colorway on that base.

We  have selected a number of yarns that each colorway will look exceptional on -- please see the yarn base menu on each colorway for the full range of choices.

It is highly recommended that you order all the yarn you will need for a project at once to ensure it is the same dyelot. Even so you may need to alternate balls of yarn while knitting to ensure consistency throughout your project. Hand dyed and handpainted yarn is unique and varied.

Club & limited edition colorways are exclusive for at least six months. If it becomes a repeatable colorway, it will show up when the expiration is up.
